Governance and accountability are regulated
by laws and voluntary standards such as the Sarbanes Oxley act
and the SA8000 Social Accountability standard.
At the core of these systems are requirements
such as:
- Organizations must have internal procedures
(rules) which must be managed and communicated across the
organization and must be compliant with an external set of
prescriptions.
- Organizations must put in place and
track a training program to make sure that people are up to
date with the procedures.
- There must be a control system, which
in most cases is heavily based on audits. Results of audits
must be tracked and corrective actions must be recorded.
These requirements are fully supported
by ProcessFrame, through the document management functionality's,
allowing the management of the procedures life cycle as well
as their easy distribution and retrieval, and the Survey building
block allowing the audit department to define its own checklists,
plan for the audit activities and analyze results.
